Ford Total Performance for the Mustang in 1965 meant the  GT option.  Introduced for the one year anniversary of the Mustang, the factory GT option was only available with the 225 hp Challenger 289 V8 or the 271 hp  Hi-Po 289 V8.

Welcome to the home page for Georgia Thunder.  Georgia Thunder is my 1965 Ford Mustang GT.  I created this site as a fun place to talk about and display my car and also to showcase other Mustangs, especially 1965-1966 Mustang GT’s. 

I have included a schedule of local car shows and meets, as well as MCA National Shows that I plan to attend with or without my car.  Check out the photo galleries of my car and some of the shows that I have attended.
